Friends of the Cuban Arts Inc. Is an Association that was incorporated on February 12th, 2020 to establish an organization that represents Cuban art and culture in the province of Manitoba. FCA Inc is a non-profit organization, without any political views.

We’re proud to share that the Papa Mambo Quintet has been invited to perform at the 41st International Jazz Plaza Festival in Havana, Cuba! It’s an incredible honor for Winnipeg and Canada to have Papa Mambo showcase our homegrown talent at such a prestigious international event. To help make this dream a reality, Friends of the Cuban Arts Inc. is organizing a special fundraising event to support the group with travel and participation costs.
This captivating show features dancers, singers, and musicians from the renowned Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba dance company. Their powerful performances showcase Cuba's rich cultural heritage, blending European (Hispanic, French) and African (Yoruba, Congo, Carabali, Arara, etc.) traditions. Experience Cuba's dance history, from the Yoruba pantheon to popular rhythms such as salsa, timba, rumba, chachacha, conga, and mambo. Enjoy a mojito, savor Cuban congris, admire stunning art, and dance to lively tunes from our DJs. You can even take salsa and rumba lessons with our special guests.
