We’re proud to share that the Papa Mambo Quintet has been invited to perform at the 41st International Jazz Plaza Festival in Havana, Cuba!

Last year, out of 179 musicians from around the world, only one Canadian was represented. We know we can do better — and this year, we will!

It’s an incredible honor for Winnipeg and Canada to have Papa Mambo showcase our homegrown talent at such a prestigious international event.

To help make this dream a reality, Friends of the Cuban Arts Inc. is organizing a special fundraising event to support the group with travel and participation costs.

Hello FCA Family, for those who requested tickets for the Rainbow Stage Theatre, we'll see you this Wednesday, August 6th. Parking is crazy at the park, so try to arrive between 6:45 and 7:00 pm. If you have tickets and won't be using them, please let me know so I can pass them on to those on our waiting list. Happy weekend, everyone!

This captivating show features dancers, singers, and musicians from the renowned Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba dance company. Their powerful performances showcase Cuba’s rich cultural heritage, blending European (Hispanic, French) and African (Yoruba, Congo, Carabali, Arara, etc.) traditions. Experience Cuba’s dance history, from the Yoruba pantheon to popular rhythms such as salsa, timba, rumba, chachacha, conga, and mambo. Enjoy a mojito, savor Cuban congris, admire stunning art, and dance to lively tunes from our DJs. You can even take salsa and rumba lessons with our special guests. Thank you for being part of this truly immersive cultural celebration!

This special event is for all the men in our community, whether fathers or not.

⚾️🔥 Huge thanks to everyone who came out and brought that unbeatable Cuban energy. The game was on point, the laughs kept coming, and the good vibes were flowing all around. The ball was flying, people were having a blast, and our community felt more connected than ever. If you couldn’t make it, you missed a real fiesta!
